Cairde ChorcaĆ launches membership options and new website

November 19, 2019

Cairde Chorcaƭ launched its membership options and new website at an event held in PƔirc Uƭ Chaoimh last night.

At the launch event; attended by Cairde ChorcaĆ Directors, former players and managers from both ladies and men’s teams and Cork County Board officials; details were given of the membership options available to Cork GAA supporters at home and abroad.

Cairde ChorcaĆ was launched last year and its aim is to support Cork teams to succeed at the highest level. The board is comprised of passionate Cork supporters, a number of whom have represented Cork successfully in the past.

Speaking at the event, Chairperson of Cairde ChorcaĆ Ted Owens said; ā€œA question I am regularly asked by supporters is ā€˜how do we join up’. They now have this facility.

ā€œCork supporters crave success. They know that by supporting Cairde ChorcaĆ they are helping Cork teams in a practical way to compete at the highest level.ā€

He added that all monies raised by Cairde ChorcaĆ goes directly to help Cork teams or to provide coaches to clubs and schools.

ā€œOur teams deserve the best, they must have access to the best training facilities on a year-round basis. The monies raised are ring fenced for teams, facilities and underage coaching.

ā€œOur concentration to date has been on good governance structures and putting a high-quality board in place. We are now ready to undertake our primary task. Fundraising.ā€

Cairde ChorcaĆ hope that Cork GAA supporters at home and across the world will support the membership drive. With options from individual membership up to corporate gold membership, check out www.cairdechorcai.ie for more details.

ā€œWe also hope to reach out to the Cork diaspora worldwide, but a solid home base is vital. In a digital age an attractive website is vital and we’re delighted to launch our new website www.cairdechorcai.ie which will allow us to connect with Cork GAA supporters no matter where they live in the world. We are also on twitter, Facebook and Instagram so follow our updates to get all the latest news,ā€ Ted Owens concluded.
